Leaving any country is daunting when you don’t speak the language, and while many places offer English translations, it doesn’t mean they’re always reliable.
People from across the globe have shared some of the funniest notices they’ve ever come across – including an airport sign that warns ‘eating carpet is strictly prohibited.’
Other snaps, which have been collated online by Shareably, include a butcher selling ‘boneless lamp,’ a stool flogging ‘paralysis cheese’ and a supermarket shelf which features coconut cookies…containing cream milk with coconut humans.
Another sign that has been very lost in translation reads: ‘Dead slow children playing,’ and a further warns against littering on the sand because ‘everyone loves a clean bitch.’
